Privacy Policy

Clubbin ("Clubbin", "we", "us") runs clubbins.com and the Clubbin mobile app, a platform in Tanzania for watching live club events and DJ sets, buying tickets and subscriptions, live shopping, and ordering food and drinks from venues.

When you create an account: your username, email address, phone number, password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) and the account type you choose (viewer, DJ, musician, merchant or club).

If you sign in with Google:your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account, and Google's identifier for your account. We do not receive your Google password.

For DJs, musicians, merchants and clubs: the verification document you upload, and the profile details you add, such as a bio, logo, venue location and contact details. Club and creator profiles are public.

When you use Clubbin: the events you watch (with your IP address, to count viewers), chat messages and reactions you send, polls you vote in, clubs and creators you follow, favorites, and posts you publish.

When you buy something: your orders, tickets and subscriptions, the mobile money phone number you pay with and the payment status. For deliveries, the address and map location you give. We do not see or store your mobile money PIN.

When you broadcast: the video and sound you stream, which viewers see live and which is recorded so the event can be watched again as a replay.

Technical information: your browser and device type, and records of requests to our servers (such as IP address and time), kept to run and secure the service.

• To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
• To stream events to you, show replays, and run chat, reactions and polls.
• To process tickets, subscriptions, live shopping and food and drink orders, and deliver them.
• To verify DJs, musicians, merchants and clubs before they can sell or stream.
• To contact you about your account, orders and payments, including password reset emails.
• To show creators how their events performed, as counts (not who watched).
• To keep Clubbin safe: preventing fraud and abuse, and moderating chat.
• To meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records.

If you choose "Continue with Google", we use only your name, email address and profile picture, and only to create your Clubbin account, sign you in, and show your name and picture on your profile and in chat.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except as needed to run Clubbin as described here. Clubbin's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• Your username and profile picture, wherever you chat, react or post.
• Your chat messages, to everyone watching that event.
• Club, DJ, musician and merchant profiles, and the events and products they publish.
• For orders, the club or merchant fulfilling it sees what they need to deliver: your username, phone number and delivery address.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that run parts of Clubbin for us: DigitalOcean (servers and file storage), Cloudflare (live video streaming and replays), DPO Pay and the mobile money networks (payments), and Google (sign-in and sending emails).
• Clubs, creators and merchants, only the order details they need to serve you.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people from harm.

Some of these providers process data outside Tanzania, under their own security and privacy commitments.

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage to remember small choices, such as whether the chat shows over the video. We do not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.

We keep your account information while your account is open. Payment and order records are kept as long as the law requires. Event recordings stay available as replays until the event's host or Clubbin removes them. When you delete your account we delete or anonymize your personal information, except what we must keep by law.

Under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can object to how we use it. You can edit most of your details yourself in Account settings.

To delete your account or make any other request, email clubbins.global@gmail.comfrom the address on your account. We reply within 30 days. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Clubbin's access from your Google Account settings.

All connections to Clubbin are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, and access to our systems is limited to people who need it. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere.

Clubbin features nightlife and club events and is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. For important changes we will also let you know in the app or by email.
